I just finished up the outline for what I’ll be teaching at the National Reformer’s Unanimous Conference at the end of the month…I’m very excited about the session! Please pray for the Sosebee’s and Hellums’ sessions as well.

We had an incredible supper tonight! A family in our church brought us two huge platters of lasagna, some absolutely delicious zuchinni fries drizzled with freshly grated parmagian cheese and a broccoli salad that was out of this world. To top it off, there was some homemade donuts.
I just wanted to express my appreciation to them…no reason, other than they wanted to be a blessing! I love the people God allows me the privilege to pastor!

I’ve taken the liberty to post excerpts from an email I received this morning…I do it for the Lord’s glory. God is always faithful and here’s yet another example from our own congregation.
“Just a quick note to let you know how wonderful our church family is (as if you didn’t already know).
For the past several months things have been tough for us all around, finances, children and grandchildren etc., and the first thought you have when your world is crumbling is to want to retreat, quit coming to church.
Well last nite while we were at church, something awsome happened, we arrived home with a screaming “x” year old and a “x” year old who so needed to be in the bed for school, and I told [my husband] that the devil always gets to this family on church days, I was tired and overwhelmed at this point.
So we pull into our carport, and I see lots of Walmart bags sitting there, we get out of the car and start going thru them. I said there must be a note, but at first we didn’t find one. We bring them in, unload them and find a note saying “Here is $20 to buy meat, eggs etc., Your Friends, Love in Christ”. Well of course I broke down, then [my husband], we couldn’t imagine who would do this for us. So point being, God is good, and someone from our church blessed us when we needed it most. Wanted to let you know what wonderful people we have the privilege to attend with….Thought this would brighten your heart like it did ours. And no we are not letting the devil win, we will strive to be faithful.

Because someone “obeyed the impulse of the Holy Spirit”, God got glory and a family got blessed! VBC, let’s stay yielded!!

About 8 of us went to Vision Baptist Church yesterday for the last day of their Bible Conference and all I can say is I’m sorry I wasn’t able to attend on Thursday…it was great! Bro. Nathan Deatrick taught through 2 Peter and Dr. Bob Dalton taught through Jude and they were both fantastic.
As usual the fellowship was great and it was good to spend a little time with the Vision staff and Bro. Austin Gardner.
They also prepared a great lunch for us complete with some excellent desserts…thanks ladies.
I also want to thank all the men that went with us…we had a great time fellowshipping on the way up and discussing what we were taught on the way back. Looking forward to next year’s Bible Conference.

Visitation for Ella Joy will be from 5-8 pm at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Loganville on Tuesday, the 18th. The Memorial service will be at 11 am on Wednesday at the Corinth Christian Church cemetery (directly across the street from the church) off of Hwy 81 in Loganville. Continue to be in prayer for their family.

We had our Annual Wild Game Fellowship today and I was told it was the best yet! Being with the Kelley Family I was unable to attend but I would like to thank all the men who helped make this years’ WGF what it was.
I would exclude good people if I named names, but I would like to thank Kevin Jackson for allowing us to use his farm again; Devin Key for bringing his big buck and sharing his testimony, Shannon Greeson and Joe Morgan for sharing their testimonies and Chad Gordon for preaching on a last minute’s notice…praise the Lord for at least one man that I heard of that received Christ today!
Many donations were made and we were able to feed over 100 people, give away tons of prizes, trophies, ribbons, a few guns and didn’t even charge…and God met the need as it shouldn’t cost the church a dime. That’s a testimony to the goodness of our God and the sensitivity of the men of VBC! I’m so proud to be a part of a church like Victory!

I’ve just left the hospital where I’ve seen God’s grace once again sufficient for the hour. Daniel and Kristin Kelley are dealing with the loss of their 20 week year old daughter, Ella Joy. Ella was a beautiful 6.5 oz gift the Lord allowed to go Home early.
There will be a visitation time set and a graveside service…I will post details as they are made available.
Please remember the Kelleys in prayer as this is not their only experience with this type of grief, but like I said, He’s been faithful.

I sure enjoyed the liberty the Lord gave me this morning while I preached. We had a host of visitors and the Lord gave me a great message for visitors to hear. We also had another man receive Christ today. Please pray for the others that the Lord is dealing with.
Following Him in Reaching our World is this month’s theme and I’m looking forward to what the Lord is going to do. We also have our Mission Conference scheduled on August 23rd, so be in prayer for that as well.
I’m looking forward to the services tonight.
