What is a blog?

A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.  Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules.

“News of Victory” is a great way to see what is going on in the life or our church. Pastor Derik Lawrence is the editor and he writes articles, receives articles from his staff, and posts articles that he reads that he believes we will benefit from reading.

How do I use the blog?
There are different ways that you can daily read our blog.     

     #1 From the Website
Everyday you can go to www.victorybc.org click on the icon that says blog. You will be directed to the website that contains our blog. This method may seem the easiest but it is not necessarily the one that is most time effective.     

     #2 Email Subscription
You can subscribe to our blog email feed. By subscribing for the feed you will receive an email daily or as often as the blog is updated with the new information.     

     #3 From a Blog Reader
You can download a “blog reader.” With a reader, keeping up with your favorite website is as easy. Readers constantly check your favorite news sites and blogs for new material.

Google Reader
This is a great reader if you use Internet Explorer.

Wizz RSS News Reader
This is a great blog reader if you use Fire Fox.

“I believe that the News of Victory blog is one of the greatest ministry tools of the future!  It allows the pastor to daily, not just 3 times a week, share what is on his heart. There are times when he will share a challenge to encourage us.  Other blogs will be about important upcoming events, or the latest update on pressing matters.  The idea is not to sit in front of the computer to waste time, but to COMMUNICATE in more ways to the members of VBC as well as any other readers.
