That’s what I’m calling the concrete that poured out of the chute today at the church. Yes, I was able to witness the first ounce of concrete delivered and poured on our new building and let me tell you, it was great. As I was looking up at the apex of the pump truck, my eyes went on beyond the boom and gazed into the abode of our King and once again the tears began to flow as I praised Him for His goodness to us.
Church, we do serve a mighty God and what an opportunity He’s giving us by allowing us to reach more people through the means of a new auditorium. Remember the purpose of VBC, “to provide a method or means to minister to every member of our community and world with the Message of the Gospel!”
The men poured all the footings today and will begin prepping for the foundation and walls starting tomorrow.

Well, while the rain has affected the progress a little, it came at the right time. We have been waiting on the underground power lines to be installed and as of today we have underground power! Now, what this does for us is it allows the overhead lines to be removed so the foundation can be graded. This is the reason why there has been a stall on the sitework, but now it’s full speed ahead.
I’m addition, the sewer lines have been laid as well as the phone cables.
Some of the biggest news is the fact that we also have our building permit in hand!
In closing, let me also say we have made our first payment on the loan. While that is nothing to jump up and down for, it is exciting to see how God is going to show Himself BIG in our eyes!
Thank You Lord for calling us to build for Your glory! Thank You for entrusting us with such an awesome responsibility and opportunity! May we follow You completely.

To the glory of God, we were at the attorney’s office for a little over two hours this morning finalizing papers for the acquisition of funds for the new auditorium. Everything seemed to go well and we’re only waiting now for everything to be signed, cleared and issued in California! What does this mean for us? Well, as soon as we are issued the funds, major grading begins on 88 Brand Road! You can sense the excitement in the air as things are really about to happen unlike we’ve ever seen before.
While all this is very exciting, what’s been happening in our services is even more exciting and should stand as a reminder to us for why we are building. With souls being saved and baptized and families continuing to join, we are working to attempt our purpose…”to provide a method or means to minister to every member of our community and world with the Message of the Gospel!” Please pray that God will continue to bless as He has been and that all the needs will be met and more souls here and across the world will be won as a result of this “leap of faith.”
We have so much to be thankful for…God is truly a good and great God!

The Building Team has informed me this week that we are closer than ever to finalizing the contractor for our new facility. After meeting with several, they think they have found one that we will be able to have a good working relationship with. The goal is to have that finalized by the end of the year as well as a pretty good idea of some other timelines. We have a meeting also this week concerning finances as well, so be in prayer about that meeting. (Tuesday)

Just keep it tuned in here to see all that is transpiring with the New Building Progress. We will use this as a tool for people to post their views and questions concerning our new facilities. Although I am the adminstator of this forum, the Building Team themselves will be addressing most of the questions and concerns. They will also be supplying the verbage for the updates.
