“The VISION” has become one of the most exciting times for our church. It is a time of remembrance, for revival and renewal as we head into a new year. It is a time for reviewing the unfailing truths of stewardship and sharing them with our new families and friends. I pray that we as a church are committed to making our lives count more for the cause of Christ than any other season of our lives. May our compassion for others, our concern for global evangelism and construction of Christian leadership be more genuine and more visible in 2012 than ever before!
This year’s theme is “Committed” taken from Luke 9:23, “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Understanding and obeying the great biblical principle of stewardship is the basis for living the “Committed” Christian life. Christ has given us the principle, yet it is up to us to put it in to practice!
We are living in such a day where the demands of everyday life have so encroached our spiritual lives, it is sometimes easy to divert our time and energy away from Him and onto the cares of the world. Therefore, we must Commit ourselves to following Him daily. We are not promised this would be easy, yet the blessings of the Committed life have proven repeatedly, it’s worth the effort!
Victory, I need some families, some leaders, some individuals, to grasp this truth like never before…to come alongside of me and my family, and determine that 2012 will see our greatest level of commitment. I truly love you, church and am honored to serve Him with you.
